We've been very fortunate to have stayed in some amazing places, but none of them compare to staying here. We didn't want to leave. From the moment you walk through the front door you are made welcome by Simon and encouraged to treat the house as your home. We stayed in the Charles II room, which makes you feel like royalty, from the stunning four poster bed with a mattress to die for, to the Priest Hole, which has been lovingly restored. For breakfast you had a choice of hot, cereal, fruit etc. I had eggs benedict and my husband had a full english, both of which were cooked to perfection, in fact mine was the best eggs benedict I've ever had. We even had friends come and join us one morning. We will be returning again and again. It's funny, when you want to complain about something the words come tumbling out but when you want to compliment it's hard to find the right ones. We'll be seeing you soon.Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year xxx - Source TripAdvisor - Claire S
Truly wonderful place to stay, fabulous hosts, delicious freshly cooked breakfasts, attention to detail and extra special touches absolutely outstanding! We stayed in the sumptuous Victorian Room, with a huge bathroom. There are 3 other amazing rooms, two with four posters. The whole house is steeped in fascinating history with a beautiful landscaped garden. This is definitely the best place we have stayed in - and we have visited a lot - we can't wait to go back. Thank you Simon & Gary for an amazing stay! - Source TripAdvisor - Sue J
This was one of the best places we have every stayed at, the accommodation was of a high standard, set in a beautiful old house with garden views. The owners were a delight and very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked, with eggs from the free range Chickens in the Garden. The garden was a picture and we were welcome to make full use of it. Easy car parking. Sherry and chocolates in the room, tea, coffee and chocolate as well. - Source TripAdvisor - Adrian N
